There were altogether about fifty five in the company including the five children and their families, 18 grand children and 9 great frand children and wives and husbands of children and grand children, and a few friends. They met ant noon at the beautiful Bass home and were served a big picnic dinner caffeteria [sic] style, which they ate on the lawn and on the big porches. It was a day long to be remembered by Mr. and and [sic] Mrs. Bass and their descendants and so much enjoyed by all of them that they are already planning on making it an annual event. All the children and grand children present were very enthusiastic about this for they say they had about the best time they every enjoyed at any picnic.
