SELMA: Born in sod-house on homestead in Nebr. Spent childhood in Lincoln where she received her early schooling. At 9 she moved back with her folks to the homestead and did much backbreaking work. As a young girl she went to Omaha to seek work and returned periodically with beautiful clothes and excellent grooming. After alternating between Omaha and the homestead for some time, she met one of two young Swedes who had recently arrived in the U. S., a Mr. Axel A. Anderson, (his brother August married Selma
